With Easter just around the corner, retailers are battling it out to provide chocolate lovers with the most desirable treat.

Marks & Spencer might have just won this year’s contest with a brilliantly boozy confection.

The supermarket giant has released a pink berry and prosecco flavoured chocolate egg — and it looks as good as it sounds.

Dubbed the ‘Proseggo’, the egg comes in a gorgeous dark shade of pink with a swirl detail on the outer shell.

Designed by M&S’ Easter egg developer, Katy Patino, the chocolate is infused with real prosecco.

The in-store exclusive is also infused with raspberry and blackcurrant and make from luxury milk chocolate.

Katy said of her latest creation: “This year’s egg collection is possibly my favourite ever.

“I absolutely love the new, on trend, Proseggo egg which is a luxury milk chocolate egg infused with raspberry, blackcurrant and prosecco!
